Is it still worth playing?

In this 2019 game for the PlayStation 4, thirteen high school students in a 1980s Japan are drawn into a futuristic war between giant robots called Sentinels and monsters called Kaiju. Remembrance is the adventure half, side scrolling, in which you jump between the thirteen characters' stories in whatever order you like. Words the characters say and items you find go into a Thought Cloud, and using them in conversations or in other scenes opens new paths. Destruction is the real time strategy half: up to six pilots defend a terminal from waves of Kaiju, and the action pauses while you give orders. Battles have to be cleared to move the story on, and you can save anywhere. It runs about 30 hours. The way its story is told is the reason to play it now: you choose whose chapter comes next and put the mystery together as you go.
