Is it still worth playing?

A 2020 first person shooter and the sequel to Doom (2016), in which the Doom Slayer fights to end Hell's invasion of Earth. The fights are fast and keep you moving. Every kill is a resource: a Glory Kill on a staggered demon gives health, setting enemies on fire gives armor, and the chainsaw makes them drop ammunition. The Super Shotgun has a grappling hook that pulls you to an enemy, and weapon mods and grenades target weak points, such as a Revenant's blasters. The Slayer has a double jump and two dashes. Between fights there are walls to climb, poles to swing from and hidden collectibles, and the Fortress of Doom, a hub in orbit, lets you replay missions. The campaign takes 15 to 20 hours. The fights are why it is worth playing now: every arena asks you to keep moving and pick the tool that refills what you are short of.
