Is it still worth playing?
An action adventure with puzzles developed by the Danish studio Bedtime Digital Games, released for PC and Switch in June 2018 and for PlayStation 4 in 2019. The game takes place inside a human mind and explores the subconscious, turning thoughts and life events into physical places. You play Dusty, the brain's former voice of courage, with the sarcastic Piper beside him, inside the mind of a father after a car crash. The story deals with depression, and a muted palette balances play with the subject. It is split into three main areas, the creative side of the brain, the logical side and consciousness, each with its own look and level design. Puzzles mostly involve finding batteries to power objects, Dusty fights with a wooden sword, and boss battles combine combat with puzzles, and the nightmare bosses sing humorous songs. It is worth playing today for its painted look and its music.
