Is it still worth playing?

Asura, a demigod betrayed by the others of his pantheon, seeks revenge, in this 2012 action game from CyberConnect2 that blends Hindu and Buddhist mythology with science fiction. It is presented as an anime series of 18 episodes in three seasons, each ending on a cliffhanger. The gameplay shifts between third person combat, rail shooter sections and cutscenes where you press quick time event prompts. A burst gauge fills as you fight and lets you unleash a burst to finish strong opponents and move the story on. The characters look like clay statues, with brush strokes on their skin and gold leaf that chips as they weaken, and Asura gains arms as his fury grows. The story takes about six hours, with a couple more to earn S ranks. A burst gauge that ends each fight still keeps the action and the story in one piece.
