Is it still worth playing?

Zangetsu, a cursed swordsman hunting demons, recruits three allies, in this 2018 platform game from Inti Creates. You can recruit the whip wielding Miriam, the magician Alfred and the vampire like Gebel. You switch between them at the press of a button, since each has different weapons, skills and attacks. Stages have branching paths that lead to a single boss, and each level follows a very familiar pattern on purpose. A boss rush mode and options to raise the challenge add to the replay value. The game can be finished in about ninety minutes if you know what you are doing. It is a companion to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Quick runs and a party to swap still make a short game easy to return to.
