Is it still worth playing?
Hideo Kojima's 2019 action game for the PlayStation 4, in which Sam Porter Bridges, a courier, crosses a ruined United States delivering supplies to isolated colonies and connecting them to a network. The deliveries are the game. You load the cargo on Sam's back, on his suit or in his hands, and the way you pack it and its weight change how he handles the terrain. You plan each route between mountains and rivers, with ladders, climbing anchors and bridges, and roads can be built along some paths. The danger is creatures called BTs, hidden in a rain called Timefall, which wears down cargo and armor, and a sensor on Sam's suit points to where they are. Other players never appear, but the bridges, generators and shelters they built can turn up in your world. Planning a route, building it and using what other players left is still what makes the long walks worth doing now.
