Is it still worth playing?

A 2D horror adventure from the Taiwanese studio Red Candle Games, released on Steam in January 2017 and set in Taiwan in the 1960s under martial law. The students Wei and Ray are trapped at Greenwood High School during a typhoon, a place that has changed in unsettling ways and is haunted by creatures called the Lingered. You play a side scroller that mixes puzzles, where items go into an inventory and every object has a purpose, with stealth. The Lingered cannot be killed, so you hide and hold your breath, which makes you undetectable for a limited time, or leave food to distract one. The game avoids repeated jump scares and builds tension through graphic imagery, creature design and sound. It lasts about three hours. A short game set under martial law still leaves a mark beyond its scares.
