Is it still worth playing?
A rally racing game from Codemasters, released in 2011 as the first in the series without the Colin McRae name. Its main mode, Dirt Tour, has you earn reputation points in events to gain the interest of sponsors who provide new vehicles. Rallying takes place on non circuit, point to point routes where each driver races the clock, and a co driver reads pacenotes to warn of dangers. Other events include Rallycross on closed circuits, Trailblazers, the equivalent of hillclimbs, and Landrush. Flashbacks from the previous game can be used up to five times, but cost reputation points. New features include a Hardcore mode limited to the cockpit view with no driver assists, and uploading replay clips to YouTube. A new weather system brings heavy rain and snowstorms that change race strategy, and the campaign takes about 15 hours. A co driver's notes still make each stage a test of listening.
