Is it still worth playing?

Four races fight for dominance of the fantasy world of Nevendaar, in this 1999 turn-based strategy game published by Strategy First. You pick the Empire, the Mountain Clans, the Legions of the Damned or the Undead Hordes, each with its own play style and story campaign. You recruit units and research spells in your capital, lead heroes and their parties across an adventure map, and fight on a separate battle screen whenever hostile parties meet. It plays like Heroes of Might and Magic, but its characters and units gain experience, so it mixes strategy with role playing. A Gold Edition in 2001 added 25 scenarios. Units that gain experience give a strategy game the pull of a role playing one.
