Is it still worth playing?

A down on his luck golfer returns to the game his father taught him after twenty years and tries to reach the professional tour, in this 2017 golf adventure for the Nintendo Switch. Each shot uses a meter where you stop a slider in the right place, and advanced shots let you set power and the spin on the ball, with slope and wind affecting it. There are eight areas with side quests and minigames, such as bouncing a ball off a turtle or finishing a course in a time limit. Experience is spent on swing traits, and money from winning buys equipment that adds stats or abilities. The writing is dry and tongue in cheek, and the visuals are 16 bit sprites. Local Quick Play strips out the story, and there is no online play. Side quests on every course and a swing you tune with experience still keep each round varied.
