Is it still worth playing?
A hacker called Bit sends you an automatic message, written in case he died, asking you to look into his death, in this 2015 hacking simulation. The screen is a Unix-like desktop with a terminal and a graphical view, and you can work in either. Hacking a computer means scanning it to see its protections, running the programs that match them while managing a limited amount of memory, and getting superuser access before a countdown runs out. If it does, you get one last chance by hacking your internet provider and changing your IP address. Once inside, you search the file system for what the mission needs, and you can wreck a machine by deleting its system files. Bit's first missions teach the basics, and he points you to a hacker group called Entropy. Typing every command yourself, scanning, breaking in and digging through files against a countdown, is still what makes it worth playing.
