Is it still worth playing?

The second game in the Story of Seasons series and the first portable Harvest Moon, developed and published by Victor Interactive Software for the Game Boy, with a Game Boy Color version later. You choose a boy or a girl, and your late grandfather's spirit asks you to take over his farm and checks on you at the end of each winter to see whether you can be the Ranch Master. You grow crops that need watering every day and that only sprout in their own season, sell them through the shipping bin, and raise cows and chickens. A cat keeps wild dogs from the chickens, while a dog keeps moles from the crops. A family of gnomes under the tool shed gives you mushrooms in return for food. You can carry only two tools at a time, there is no marriage, and shopping is done through menus. A small farm and a simple daily routine still make a relaxed, short session.
