Is it still worth playing?
Knights riding flying ostriches fight enemy knights on buzzards above an island surrounded by lava, in this 1982 arcade game that a second player can join on a stork. A joystick moves the knight left and right and a button flaps the wings, and the faster you press the button, the higher the bird climbs, so you can fly up, hover or slowly sink. Leaving one side of the screen brings you back on the other. The aim is to defeat every enemy knight in each wave by colliding with them, and the knight whose lance is higher wins the clash. Completing a wave starts a harder one. It was not the first two player cooperative video game, but its success helped popularize the concept. One button and one rule, the higher lance wins, are still quick to understand.
