Is it still worth playing?
Mario and his friends build a world from their dreams and argue over who it should be named after, until Bowser arrives, in this 1999 party game from Hudson Soft for the Nintendo 64. Up to four players move around themed boards by rolling a die, with computer characters filling any empty places. The goal is to hold the most stars, which are bought with coins on one fixed space of the board. Each turn ends with a minigame, among the 65 in the game, played as four way free for alls, two against two or one against three, and you can buy minigames to replay them. Items such as Mushrooms and Golden Mushrooms give extra dice rolls, Boos steal coins or a star, and bonus stars at the end can reshuffle the standings. Board themes change the music and the characters' costumes. It is still a game made for several people on one couch.
