Is it still worth playing?

You take the role of Napoleon Bonaparte, or one of his rivals, across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East during the Napoleonic Wars, in this 2010 strategy game from Creative Assembly. As in every Total War game there are two layers. On a turn based campaign map you build structures, research technologies, use diplomacy and trade, send agents and command armies, and then you direct huge armies in real time tactical battles. It is the sixth stand alone game of the series, and it has three special campaigns that follow the general's career. The tutorials walk through his younger years, the Siege of Toulon and the first Battle of Algeciras. A general's career told in campaigns still gives each war a personal thread. Each scenario covers a smaller area than the series' global maps, and armies that move too far from home suffer attrition.
