Is it still worth playing?
An adventure game from No Code, published by Devolver Digital in 2017, mixing text adventure, first person exploration and puzzles with an 1980s technology theme. It is set in England in 1986, in four episodes that seem to be separate games but are connected in a single story. In the first, a remaster of The House Abandon, you play a text adventure on a ZX Spectrum in a childhood bedroom, where the descriptions mirror your surroundings and events in it affect the real world. In the second you follow a manual to run experiments with X ray equipment, a camera, an old TV and a drill, and in the third you use a microfiche reader and a radio receiver to decode messages with glossaries. The fourth ties them together. Four short chapters about old machines still make a game to finish in one night.
