Is it still worth playing?

A space combat game developed and published by Psygnosis for the PlayStation in 1997. You fly missions for the League of Free Worlds in one of seven preselected starfighters, each with its own mix of energy weapons, missiles or torpedoes, and some carry nonlethal EMP cannons. You can use countermeasures against inbound missiles or a grapple gun to capture important targets. Missions are grouped into acts of three, and the campaign has multiple paths and outcomes depending on how you perform, so failing a mission does not always end the war. The story follows colonies revolting against the Earth Empire's rule, led by a man known as the Father. A database of planets and ships with voiceovers can be browsed between missions. It was followed by Vengeance in 1998 and Red Sun in 2000. A campaign that branches after a lost mission still gives a reason to try it again.
