Is it still worth playing?
Crash Bandicoot and his sister Coco chase the Quantum Masks across dimensions to stop Neo Cortex and Nefarious Tropy in this 2020 platformer, which picks up from the first three games. The levels keep the series' shape, running toward the camera or sideways, with crates to smash and Wumpa Fruit to collect. Crash and Coco share the same moves: spin, double jump, slide, slam, grind on rails and run along walls. Four masks add powers in certain stretches: phasing objects in and out, a long spin to glide, slowing time and flipping gravity. Other levels let you play as Tawna with a grappling hook, Dingodile with a vacuum gun and Cortex, whose gun turns enemies into platforms. Modern mode sends you back to the last checkpoint, while the other style gives you limited lives. Played today, the platforming is the draw, with the masks and the other characters changing what each jump asks of you.
