About this game
BioWare's 2009 role playing game, which starts six different ways. Your race and class decide which one: a dwarf born to a noble house, a mage raised in a tower, an elf in a city slum, and three more. Each is an hour of its own before the main story begins, and each keeps turning up in dialogue long after it is over. Combat is real time you can pause, and the Tactics menu lets you write the rules your companions fight by rather than trusting them to it. Everyone you are not using waits at camp, where they will tell you what they made of your last decision. Approval buys abilities and a romance, and losing enough of it makes somebody leave, or turn on you. The treaties that drive the main quest can be answered in any order. Those openings are why a second run starts differently, because people react to where you came from before you have done anything.
