Is it still worth playing?
A racing game for the Famicom from HAL Laboratory, published by Nintendo in 1984, in which you drive one of two Formula One cars through a faux 3D view simulated with 2D tiles. A small team led by Satoru Iwata made it, and it was the first Famicom game with raster scrolling. You need to finish two laps of each course within the time limit to move on, a time extension is granted after the first lap, and a low and a high gear set your speed. There are three skill levels with five tracks each, and the fifth track of each level never ends, with the extension shrinking until the game is over. Touching other cars or objects beside the road destroys your car, and taking a bend too fast makes it skid. It had two Grand Prix sequels for the Famicom Disk System and a Game Boy version. A course you can learn in a couple of tries still makes a short session easy to start.
