Agent 47, a genetically engineered assassin, hunts down the leaders of the secret organization Providence in this 2021 stealth game, the last of a trilogy that began with Hitman in 2016. Five of its six locations, among them Dubai, Dartmoor, Berlin and Chongqing, are large sandboxes you explore freely for a way to your targets. Every character follows a routine you can use, and disguises let 47 into restricted areas. In Dartmoor, a country house, you can take a detective's place and solve a murder to reach the target; in Berlin you have to work out which guests at a rave are 47's former colleagues. Some doors become permanent shortcuts, and challenges, such as finishing without being seen or changing clothes, invite you back. Its maps are built to be replayed, and every routine and every disguise is another way to the same target, which is why it is worth going back to now.
