Is it still worth playing?
You rule a nineteenth century nation and the aim is the world, by conquest or by vote in the Council of Governors: a two thirds majority there, or the most provinces by 1915, wins. It is a 1997 strategy game for Windows and the Macintosh. It is turn based and run from five screens, the map, transport, industry, trade and diplomacy, and ministers give advice while you keep the final say. The economy is the game: raw materials are dug and grown, carried by a transport network with a capacity to plan around, turned into goods and traded, with an army and a navy bought out of what is left. The transport screen still sets an empire's limit at how much it can carry.
