Is it still worth playing?

A 2014 real time strategy game in which a squad of four mercenaries has to clear tens of thousands of insect-like aliens off a planet. You win by destroying the hives they spawn from, and each captured hive becomes a command post that heals your soldiers and replaces the ones you lose. The aliens gain random mutations, such as walls that block your line of sight, and on the hardest settings they adapt to your tactics: lean on flamethrowers and enemies with longer reach appear. You can re-equip your mercenaries at will and set automated defenses on the ground you hold, which gives it a tower defense side. Captured hives and crates on the battlefield pay for weapon upgrades and structures. The campaign has 17 missions, and custom games let you set the map, the difficulty and the mutations. Each map is still a new fight today, since the aliens keep changing in answer to what you do.
