Is it still worth playing?

Scientist Jack Richards and his daughter Brenda call you to Metavira, an island in the South Atlantic whose mutated trees give a medicinal sap, and the traitor Lucas Santino holds most of it. You hand pick a force of mercenaries and take the island back, in this tactical game for MS-DOS from the mid 1990s, with a DS version in 2009. It is two screens: a map on which the island is taken sector by sector, and a top down tactical view in which the fights are turn based, each mercenary spending action points to move, aim and shoot. Sixty mercenaries are for hire, up to eight at a time, each with a voice and an attitude, over more than 50 playing fields. The hiring still means a war fought with the people you chose to pay, eight at a time.
