Is it still worth playing?
Pit, the angel soldier, sets out to defeat the demon Orcos, who has invaded Angel Land, in this 1991 Game Boy platformer that follows the NES Kid Icarus. His main weapon is a bow with unlimited arrows. The levels scroll freely in all four directions, so you can drop down and explore, where falling off the bottom of the screen cost a life in the NES game. Pit can also flap his wings in mid air to slow his descent. Hidden doors in each area lead to chambers, including shops and black markets where hearts, left behind by destroyed monsters, buy items such as healing potions. You can save progress after completing an area, and Pit's health bar grows if he has defeated enough enemies. Levels that scroll every way and doors hiding shops still give each level places to look today.
