About this game

Moon Studios' 2015 platformer, hand painted so that no two pieces of its forest are the same, in which a small white spirit and an orb called Sein go through a wood that is dying. It is built the way a Metroidvania is. Wall jumps, double jumps and air dashes arrive one at a time down three skill trees, and each opens a part of the map you walked past an hour earlier. Sein does the fighting with a homing shot you aim by being near the thing. Saving is a decision here: a soul link is a checkpoint you drop yourself and it costs the same energy your abilities run on, so parking one before a hard stretch means going into it with less. A first run is about six hours. Dropping your own checkpoints is why a hard stretch stays fair, because you decide where the game is allowed to put you back.
