You create and evolve a pathogen to wipe out humanity with a deadly pandemic, in this real time strategy simulation from Ndemic Creations. It was inspired by the film Contagion and the browser game Pandemic 2. An epidemic model with a complex set of variables simulates how the plague spreads and how severe it is. You choose game modes and pathogens, and the goals vary: killing the world, enslaving it with the Neurax Worm, turning it into zombies with the Necroa Virus, or corrupting humanity with the Shadow Plague. You adapt the plague to hot and cold places while the humans race to develop a cure. Plague Inc: Evolved is the updated version for consoles and PC, first released in 2015 with changes to the gameplay. There are 11 disease types, from bacteria and bio-weapons to mind control and zombies, and 25 scenarios. Racing a cure still keeps each round tense.
