Is it still worth playing?

A 2020 roguelike third person shooter and the 3D sequel to Risk of Rain, in which a survivor stranded on a hostile alien planet fights to escape. You choose one of several survivors, each with a basic attack, a secondary, an escape and an ultimate skill. Each level is a hunt for a teleporter while aliens attack, and once it is activated you hold off a bigger wave and a boss until it charges. Killing enemies gives experience and gold, and gold opens chests of random items and buys drones and turrets. There is no limit on copies of an item, so their effects stack. The difficulty rises with the time you take, the levels cleared and the number of players, so the clock is always against you. Up to four can play online. Played today, the random items keep you coming back: they stack without limit, while the clock keeps pushing you on.
