Is it still worth playing?

Seven peoples compete for rule of the land, each with its own unique god unit and a different military skill, and you lead one to glory through trade, diplomacy, espionage and conquest. It is a real time strategy game for Windows and Linux, Seven Kingdoms of 1997 with its 1998 expansion. The expansion added the Egyptians, the Mughals and the Zulus to the original seven, the Japanese, Chinese, Maya, Persians, Vikings, Greeks and Normans. It left the harvest behind: spies are trained and sent into rival kingdoms, mercenaries are hired at inns, and the diplomacy is closer to a turn based game's. The spies still fight part of the war, by people pretending to be on the other side.
