Is it still worth playing?
It is 2011, the Cold War is over, and you are second in command of the Wildcats, a private air force working out of Istanbul under James Stern. You take contracts from the characters you meet and spend the fees on weapons, in an F-16 and later an F-22. This flight game for MS-DOS and PC-98 came out in 1993 and took four years and a million man hours, with several restarts before the engine would run, and its director Chris Roberts compared the production to Hearts of Darkness. It is sometimes grouped with the Wing Commander games, though it was never part of their canon. The contracts are still a flight game run as a business, where the mission you take pays for the missile you fire next.
