Is it still worth playing?

You captain an upgradeable interstellar locomotive in a Victorian world that has reached outer space, in this role-playing game from Failbetter Games, a direct sequel to Sunless Sea. It is set ten years after the first game, after London opened a gateway to the High Wilderness, where stars are godlike beings and terrors lurk in the dark. The New British Empire has spread to multiple stars and even built an artificial one, the Clockwork Sun. You meet brief and long narratives with positive or negative rewards, and your locomotive may have to fight hostile locomotives or otherworldly creatures. If it is destroyed or your character is killed, you start anew, though some possessions are passed on and certain events stay completed. Investing in stat points unlocks opportunity checks, and siding with a faction in a large scale war opens some ports and closes others.
