Is it still worth playing?
A point and click adventure game published by Sierra On-Line in 1992, the sequel to The Colonel's Bequest, with Roberta Williams as creative consultant. You play Laura Bow, a new newspaper reporter in the 1920s who covers the Egyptian exhibit at the Leyendecker Museum in New York, where the Dagger of Amon Ra goes missing. The bodies pile up during a party at the museum, and the story runs through acts that take you from the city to the museum's hidden passages and a chase. You question characters about topics in Laura's notebook, which fills in as you hear of names and places. The game does not reveal the killer: at the end the police ask you questions to see whether you found the culprit, the motive and the evidence, and a wrong answer leads to a bad ending. A murder you have to solve from your own notes makes each playthrough a careful one.
