Class VII goes to rescue Rean Schwarzer from Chancellor Osborne, who has taken control of the Erebonian Empire and wants war, in this 2018 role-playing game from Nihon Falcom. It is the final entry of the Erebonia arc of the Trails series, and a turn based game built on the systems of Trails of Cold Steel III. The Break and Order mechanics were modified: Break damage was reduced so enemies cannot be staggered repeatedly, and the party wide buffs were toned down. The party has more than 20 heroes, each with their own equipment and abilities. Mini games include blackjack and poker. The opening act plays like a traditional role-playing game, and the second chapter opens up with more freedom to explore. It reached the West in 2020. Nobody should start the series here, since it closes a story that began long before.
