A dishonored knight is hired to investigate the ruins of Harlech Island and is mortally wounded there, in this 2005 action role-playing game from Nihon Falcom. A life saving process binds him to the island, so he will die if he ever leaves, unless he finds the fabled Dragon Slayer sword that can sever the tie. It is a spin off of the 1985 game Dragon Slayer II: Xanadu, and an exploration centered action role-playing game from the makers of Ys. The scholar who hired him, Charlotte Wells, is drawn to the island by a phantom castle that appears in the mist over the lake. It was released worldwide in English by XSEED Games in 2016. A knight bound to an island with one way out gives the exploration a purpose.
