Is it still worth playing?
Avernum is a nation far under the surface, where the Emperor sends his exiles to die, and the Avernites are trying to live and to pay the Empire back. It is a 2011 role playing game for the Mac, on Windows and the iPad in 2012 and Android after. A party of up to four fights with blades, bows and magic in turn based fights seen from an isometric angle, with skills trained as you like rather than classes. Eighty towns and dungeons and more than 50 spells wait in the tunnels, and the quests can be taken in almost any order. It is the second ground up rewrite of the 1995 game Exile: Escape from the Pit. The freedom still lets you take a cavern nation's quests in whatever order you find them.
