Is it still worth playing?
A 1987 baseball game for the NES in which you control one of twelve teams, in a single game or a full season, and a friend can play the other side. The pitcher and batter are shown from behind the pitcher, as on television. Pitching is simple, and experimenting lets you throw harder pitches, while batting is straightforward once you learn the pitcher's tells. The league is fictitious, as few games at the time held a license for the North American major leagues. Also, a pitcher can provoke a batter into charging the mound, but only one batter on each team can be provoked, and you have to find out who. A pitch thrown far outside is caught by a disembodied mitt. Play it now and the controls are not hard to learn, with a pitcher whose habits you can read.
