About this game

FromSoftware's 2016 game, the third and last of the Dark Souls trilogy, and faster on its feet than the second. Every weapon carries a Skill of its own, a second attack that costs focus points, so a weapon is a set of moves rather than only a damage number. Spells run on focus too, and it comes out of the same flask budget as your health. At a bonfire you decide how many of your Estus are green and how many are ashen, and you carry that decision into whatever is next. There are fewer areas than in the second game and each is larger, looped so that the shortcuts drop you back at a bonfire. Splitting the flask keeps a run tense, because you decide how much healing to carry before you know what the area holds.
