Is it still worth playing?

A 2020 PlayStation 5 remake of the 2009 PlayStation 3 action RPG Demon's Souls, with new graphics, music and voices. You create an adventurer and cross the cursed land of Boletaria from the Nexus, a hub that leads to five worlds, each split into areas that end in a boss. Fights depend on timing your strikes and blocks, and enemies drop souls, which raise your stats and buy equipment. Die and you restart the area in soul form, with less maximum health and every enemy but the bosses back. Reach your bloodstain and you get your souls back; die on the way and they are gone. The remake keeps the enemies and items where they were in 2009, with no difficulty setting, and adds a mirrored version of the worlds and much shorter loading. Each area is still worth learning: the enemies, the traps and the boss stay put, and the bloodstain gives you one chance to win back what you lost.
