Is it still worth playing?

A grand strategy game developed by Paradox Development Studio and published by Strategy First in 2000, based on a French board game of the same name by Philippe Thibaut from 1993. It recreates 300 years of history, from the Age of Discovery in 1492 to Napoleon's rise in 1792, in a pausable real time format. You take control of one of seven European nations, with others in different scenarios, and grow its power through military force, diplomacy and colonial wealth. The map is two dimensional and divided into about 1,500 provinces, and part of the world is hidden until you explore it. Rulers change over time according to history and have skills that affect the nation, such as John III Sobieski with his military skill and Suleiman the Magnificent with his administrative skill. A map of 1,500 provinces over 300 years gives a long campaign.
