A space based persistent world online role-playing game in which players mine, pirate, manufacture, trade, explore and fight, released in 2003 and published by Fenris Creations. Everyone shares one single game world with 7,805 star systems, and it is renowned for its scale and the complexity of player interactions, with unscripted economic competition, warfare and political schemes. The Bloodbath of B-R5RB, a battle with thousands of players in a single system, lasted 21 hours and was one of the largest battles in gaming history. The story is set more than 21,000 years in the future, in New Eden, a group of colonies cut off from humanity after a wormhole collapsed. It gained a limited free to play version in 2016. One shared universe still means every player's war or trade touches someone else's.
