Three warriors set out to recover the Golden Axe by slaying Dark Guld and his followers, in this 1991 side scrolling beat em up for the Genesis. You choose one of three fighters: Gilius Thunderhead, a dwarf with an axe, Ax Battler, a barbarian with a two handed sword, or Tyris Flare, an amazon with a longsword. Each has a form of elemental magic, wind for Ax Battler, rock for Gilius and fire for Tyris. You fight with your weapon and can ride beasts. The back attack now hits enemies on all sides, and picked up enemies can be thrown left or right to knock down others. Magic can be spent in smaller amounts by holding the button and releasing it at the level you want, instead of all at once. Three fighters with their own magic still make each run a choice.
