About this game
Valve's 1998 shooter, in which a theoretical physicist called Gordon Freeman turns up for work at a research facility on the morning the experiment goes wrong. It never takes the camera away from you. Everything you are told happens in front of you, in scripted scenes you can walk around in and sometimes walk out of, and there is not a cutscene in it. You get a crowbar before you get a gun, and the soldiers who arrive to contain the accident have orders to silence the staff as well as kill the aliens. It still plays as one continuous piece. Nothing stops to explain itself, so you walk through the story or straight past it with the crowbar still in your hand.
