Is it still worth playing?
You choose a boy or a girl to revive a farm on an island, in this 2000 farming game for the Game Boy Color, the first portable Harvest Moon with marriage. The boy is a rancher who is asked by the mayor to help a girl run her father's farm, and the girl's story starts from her side. The island has no shops, and a ferry to the mainland, where they are, runs on Mondays and Thursdays. Growing crops and raising livestock are the main tasks. The boy's role leans toward crops, and the girl has more animals to tend. Either can assign tasks to the other, so the game leans on teamwork. Marriage is stripped down, and you can only marry the partner already on your farm or not marry at all. The visuals are colorful top down sprites. Working crops and animals around a ferry day that decides when you can shop still gives the days a rhythm.
