Is it still worth playing?

You lead a clan of the Orlanthi, fled from a despot, settling the frontier of Dragon Pass in Glorantha, a fantasy world far from Tolkien's. It is a 1999 strategy game for the PC and Mac, on iOS in 2011. The game opens with a series of questions about your clan's history that build it. It is turn based, five seasons to a year, and the clan ring, seven people, decides: two big decisions a season, and hundreds of events drawn from a pool and shaped by what you chose before. Actions each take a month, there are raids for those who want war, and the fights are planned rather than fought. Everything is in hand painted pictures rather than animation, and the play is largely text. The ring still runs a clan by seven voices, in a year of five seasons that remembers every one of them.
