About this game
Square's 1995 SNES role playing game, put together by Hironobu Sakaguchi of Final Fantasy, Yuji Horii of Dragon Quest, and Akira Toriyama, who drew Dragon Ball and drew this too. You travel between prehistory, 600 AD, 1000 AD, a ruined 2300 and 12,000 BC, and what you change in one era turns up in another. Enemies stand on the map instead of ambushing you out of the grass, characters combine attacks into Double and Triple Techs, and there is no stretch where you have to stop and grind. Twelve endings, and the New Game Plus that lets you go and see them started here. The time travel is why it has not dated. An era you fix stays fixed, so late in the game you are walking through the results of your own earlier visits.
