Is it still worth playing?
Mario, Luigi and a cast of Mushroom Kingdom characters play singles and doubles tennis in this 2000 sports game for the Nintendo 64, which introduced Waluigi. Shots come from two buttons: each makes the ball spin differently, pressing one twice adds power, and a different order gives a lob or a drop shot. Characters are all around players or one of the speed, power, technique and tricky types, and only two start locked. Each court has its own ball speed and bounce, so choosing one works as a difficulty setting. Ring Shot has rings over the court, and the Piranha Challenge has three Piranha Plants firing balls that you return. The Bowser Stage tilts the court over lava. Four players can play doubles. Two buttons with many shot combinations, and courts that change how the ball behaves, still make a match easy to start.
