Is it still worth playing?

Ryu Hayabusa is sent to stop the evil emperor Ashtar from opening the Gate of Darkness with the Dark Sword of Chaos, in this 1990 platformer for the NES. An army agent named Sturgeon recruits him. Ryu can climb up and down walls, though he cannot pull himself up onto ledges. A power up creates up to two shadow clones that follow him and copy his moves, and pressing up with attack throws flames or shuriken. The stages include rooftops, city streets, train carriages, a castle, an icy level and a storm where lightning makes platforms vanish. Cutscenes tell the story between levels, and enemies respawn when you return to an area. Getting hit knocks Ryu back, sometimes straight into a pit. A wall to climb, clones to call and attacks to throw are still a few tools to work with in each stage.
