Is it still worth playing?
Three colonists called duplicants wake up on an asteroid with isolated pockets of breathable air and no memory of how they got there, in this 2019 survival simulation from Klei Entertainment. You manage them as they try to build a sustainable colony, watching their hunger, waste and oxygen levels. You do not control them directly. You give prioritized instructions, such as mining, growing food, crafting equipment and researching, and they follow them as well as they can. The game simulates the diffusion of gases and the draining of liquids by gravity, so opening a new chamber can make oxygen drop in existing ones. Stress hits each duplicant differently, and some reactions are destructive. Indirect orders still turn a simple wish for a wire into a chain of small problems.
