Is it still worth playing?

A young fox is chosen to rid the land of Madfox Daimyojin, an evil fox who took over the shrine, in this 1989 side scrolling platform game for the Master System from Vic Tokai. Collecting Shinto sticks, which the game calls psycho sticks, changes him into a tiger, a monkey or a hippopotamus. The forms differ mainly in speed and jump power, and the hippo can punch through certain blocks, while the tiger is the easiest to control. A companion called Birdfly works as armor or as a boomerang, and if you are hit while carrying it you do not lose a life. Eggs scattered through the levels drop power ups, and potions and talismans that clear the screen are used from the pause screen. It was never released in Japan, and in Brazil its characters were replaced by the cast of the cartoon Sapo Xule. Switching animals to fit each obstacle still gives a simple platformer some variety.
