Is it still worth playing?
You play Ragnar, a young warrior who tries to stop the conflict between Odin and Loki and prevent Ragnarok, in this third person Viking action game for Windows from October 2000. The fighting is melee, with swords, axes and maces in five tiers each, and attacks change with the direction you move, giving a thrust, an overhead swing or a slash, plus spinning combos. Rune stones give weapon specific powers, such as a vampire attack with the broadsword, and you can wield severed limbs as weapons. The single player game has 43 levels with no keys to hunt for, and health comes from mead, lizards and meat. It runs on the Unreal engine, and the melee is still the reason to pick it up today, where how you move decides how you strike.
